Two juicy offers dropped this week. One has a backdoor worth knowing. The other just got permanently locked for churners.

🔴 Virgin Red: 75,000 Points + $100 Statement Credit

The highest-ever offer on this card is back — valid March 17 through April 16.

The deal:

  • 75,000 Virgin Red points after $4,000 spend in 3 months

  • $100 statement credit with a dummy booking (details below)

  • $99 annual fee, not waived

Earn rates: 3x on Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Hotels, Virgin Voyages · 2x dining, groceries, select streaming, EV charging · 1x everything else

The $100 bonus trick: Make a dummy reservation through Virgin before applying — it unlocks an additional $100 statement credit offer. Cancel the booking after. Free $100.

Who should get this: Anyone interested in Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles. Transfers 1:1 to Flying Club, which has some of the best sweet spots for Delta One and ANA business class. Also underrated for domestic Delta flights — if you live near a Delta hub (Atlanta, SLC, Minneapolis, etc.), Virgin miles can price out cheaper than Delta's own award rates on direct routes.

Worth keeping long-term? Probably not at $99/year unless you fly Virgin brands regularly. Churn it for the bonus and move on.

🏨 Chase IHG Premier Business: 200,000 Points (All-Time High)

The IHG Premier Business just hit its highest-ever signup bonus — but there's a catch.

The deal:

  • 140,000 points after $4,000 spend in 3 months

  • +60,000 points after $9,000 total spend in 6 months

  • = 200,000 points total, $99 annual fee

Card perks worth noting:

  • Automatic IHG Platinum status

  • 4th night free on award bookings (book 3 nights, pay for 3, get 1 free — effectively 25% off every award stay)

  • $50 United TravelBank cash annually

  • TSA PreCheck/Global Entry credit

Best use of IHG points: IHG shines in rural areas and National Parks gateway towns — places where Marriott and Hilton don't have a footprint but IHG does. Think Holiday Inn Express near Yellowstone, Glacier, or Zion. Kimpton hotels in mid-size cities are another sweet spot. 200k points goes a long way outside of major metros.

⚠️ The Rule Change: IHG Business Just Got Lifetime Language

Here's the part that matters for churners.

Old language: Not eligible if you've had the card in the last 24 months.

New language: "The new cardmember bonus may not be available to you if you have ever had this card."

That's lifetime language — and it's the first non-Chase-branded card to get it. If you've held this card before, Chase could deny your bonus.

The loophole (use at your own risk): The IHG.com direct link still shows the old 140k offer with 24-month language. Some churners are reporting they're going to test it. Outcome unknown — proceed carefully.

If you go this route: screenshot the offer page before you apply. If Chase clawbacks your bonus, a screenshot of the 24-month terms is your best shot at a reconsideration argument. Document everything.

Bottom line: If you've never held the IHG Business card, this 200k offer is a no-brainer. If you've had it before and got a bonus, the window may have permanently closed.
